As an engineering company, hardware production is an important part of KITT’s business. However, we do not solely focus on productions concerning hard- and software solutions, but also construction. We produce construction solutions on any scale, like complete (steel) structures with a stunning finish for your LED or R&D needs. Our construction department is subdivided into the following categories.

Our main construction partner
Building solid and reliable construction is essential to the projects KITT Engineering undertakes. In fact, our projects range from sizes of a few centimeters to hundreds of meters in size. The larger the project, the more important the construction is. Together with our partner Smartsteel Netherlands, we ensure that structures of any scale are built safely, reliably and rock solid.

A well-designed steel structure is already visually striking, but in many cases, a refined finish is essential. For indoor solutions installations in shopping malls, high-quality finishes, using wood or other organic materials, enhance the overall aesthetic. At KITT Engineering, we recognize this need, which is why we not only focus on construction but also offer the option of delivering a beautifully finished product.

Highway LED billboards – Ocean Outdoor, Wildstone
We are frequently commissioned to design structures for both existing and new LED screens along highways. These large-scale screens must be clearly visible from a distance, making their size and weight a crucial factor. To ensure safe and secure installation, we engineer rock-solid steel structures that can support the immense weight of these LED displays. Beyond stability, seamless integration into new or existing structures is key, with an emphasis on a clean and visually appealing finish. Our highway LED screen constructions can be found throughout the Netherlands and across Europe.
10,000 sq. meter LED façade – Ziggo Dome
The Ziggo Dome is an iconic concert venue in The Netherlands. Since 2012 the Ziggo Dome has been the stage for the world’s biggest international artists, welcoming up to 17,000 visitors per event. A defining feature of the venue is its iconic LED façade, illuminated by nearly 1 million LED lights. This striking visual display has become an integral part of the Ziggo Dome’s identity, making it impossible to picture the venue without it. KITT Engineering was responsible for completely replacing this LED facade. This included rethinking and redeveloping the structure in which the LEDs are processed.
DOOH City Screens – Ocean Outdoor, Vanguard, Westfield, Wereldhave
City screens play a crucial role in the Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) sector, as they are strategically placed in high-traffic locations such as city squares, shopping malls and other public venues. Each location presents unique construction and finishing challenges, requiring tailored solutions. For multiple clients, we have successfully delivered custom structures, integrated LED solutions and high-quality finishing, ensuring that each screen seamlessly fits its environment while maintaining durability and visual impact. Our construction work voor the DOOH sector is visible worldwide.
Dynamic Travel Information Screens – Prorail, NS, Schiphol, Rotterdam Airport
Throughout the Netherlands, KITT Engineering has installed top-quality travel information signs. These can be found at train stations, subway stations and airports, among others. These so-called TBXL screens show travelers the itinerary in a clear manner. Each screen is managed by KITT Engineering in addition to the initial placement. Our Screen Control and Monitoring System ensures that these screens continuously work properly. We can spot any bugs and errors in advance, guaranteeing that the traveling public will never see them.
